Activity and privacy.
M-LAB counts activity to understand which pages and learning games are useful. The admin dashboard shows totals: pageviews, visits, broad traffic sources, screen sizes, and game milestones.
What goes into these counts?
A known public page, a fixed activity such as “game started,” the date, a broad source such as Google or YouTube, and a phone/tablet/desktop size category. Vector Studio events can include a campaign genre or artwork format. Query strings, entered text, names, emails, IP addresses, and full referring addresses are not saved in the analytics database.
A random visit token lasts until 30 minutes without activity in this tab. It uses session storage, not an analytics cookie. Short-lived receipt tokens prevent duplicate counts. The retention window is 180 days for daily totals and two days for receipt tokens. Expired data is removed on the next activity or admin-report request. Visits are browser sessions, not counts of individual people.
Your choices
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected. Signed-in admin activity and local testing are excluded. You can also turn off activity counting here without affecting the games.
Game saves and feedback
Vector Studio saves its campaign in this browser’s local storage. Your name and studio stay in the game save and any files you export. Public leaderboard nicknames are optional. Feedback forms send the note you enter to a private owner inbox.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is not installed. These activity counts stay in M-LAB’s hosting database. Linked or embedded services, such as YouTube, have their own privacy practices.
